Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Mtandao Academy learning platform (website and related services), operated from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. By creating an account, ticking “I agree” at registration, or purchasing a course, you accept these Terms.

1. About Mtandao Academy

Mtandao Academy provides curriculum-aligned video lessons and learning tools for Primary and Secondary students, including NECTA-focused content in Kiswahili and English, plus selected non-curriculum programmes for schools and individual learners.

2. Accounts and eligibility

• You must provide accurate registration details and keep your password confidential.
• Parents or guardians are responsible for accounts created for minors.
• We may suspend accounts that are abusive, fraudulent, or used to share login credentials.

3. Courses, access, and certificates

• Paid courses unlock after successful payment confirmation (for example via AzamPay mobile money).
• Access duration follows the course or plan description at checkout.
• Certificates, where offered, are issued only after stated completion requirements are met.
• Lesson downloads (where enabled) are for personal or licensed school use only.

4. Payments

• Prices are shown in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS) unless otherwise stated.
• Mobile money payments are processed by AzamPay and your mobile network operator.
• You are responsible for entering a correct MSISDN and completing the payment prompt on your phone.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to copy, redistribute, re-upload, or commercially exploit Mtandao Academy videos, quizzes, or materials without written permission; not to disrupt the platform; and not to upload unlawful or harmful content.

6. Intellectual property

All platform software, branding, and published learning materials remain the property of Mtandao Academy or its licensors. Instructors retain rights in original content they submit, subject to the Content Submission Policy and any licence granted to Mtandao Academy.

7. Refunds

Refund eligibility is described in our Refund Policy. Approved refunds are returned through the original payment channel where possible.

8. Limitation of liability

Mtandao Academy provides educational content “as is.” We do not guarantee exam results. To the fullest extent permitted by Tanzanian law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the platform.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms to reflect product or legal changes. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
